Random Observations on the RNC

1. To attend the RNC you must wear a sportcoat.
2. To attend the RNC and be a woman, you must wear feather boas and an obnoxious hat.
3. To be the potential First Lady, you must wear a crazy rhinestone pin and huge pearls.
4. Rudy Guiliani likes to hear himself speak. He eggs the crowd on and laughs at himself.
5. If you were in Student Council in high school, you were probably recruited to make posterboard and Sharpie marker signs for people to hold up that say:
a. Drill Now
b. I love Mac
c. Roll Tide, No 'Bama
6. You have to yell "zero" at weird times and hold up the "OK" sign but I guess that they mean "zero".

I know that I have alienated a few Republicans on this one, but come on. Did you watch it???

I've never seen a more condenscending bunch. Boy that was obnoxious!

I didn't tune in until Palin's speech. But my observations:

1. They keep claiming people are sexist and/or attacking her unfairly because she is a woman. If a man talked about her like she mocked Obama tonight, we would never hear the end of it. Double standard.

2. I'm glad she lost the big hoop earrings she wore in Mississippi last week. I wouldn't wear those if I was going out, much less to work and ESPECIALLY not on my second day after being named VP candidate. (and btw, that is not sexist...i have made fun of male candidates' clothes before, too)

3. The Baby Daddy was chewing gum on stage. Chewing gum. In front of millions.

4. I was part of the conspiracy theorists who thought that Trig was really Bristol's baby and that Sarah was covering for her daughter and that they are saying Bristol is pregnant now only to cover up but that she will mysteriously lose the pregnancy right after the election. No longer. After seeing her tonight, I think she really is pregnant.

5. I like Piper (the youngest daughter). She was cute as a bug and I think that she and Obama's daughter should run together.

Did you see Piper lick her hand and then comb Trig's hair? I LOVED IT!! I think she is adorable and she should be in all their press because McCain is a little creepy looking. However, I've heard said that Palin has the, "sexy librarian look". Maybe.

OK, PALIN! Seriously folks...when you have 5 children, how in the hell are you supposed to help run a country??? Especially with a baby daddy who chews gum all the freakin' time! Seriously...and by the way...we love Huckabee in the Lindbloom house, I know, I know, I'm a bleeding heart liberal but seriously folks, he's just cool, you gotta admit! Yeah, not down with Palin at all...just disappointed really...and honestly just NOT sure what the heck to think anymore...so here's my thought...let's all us bloggin' girls find another country to move to...I'm thinking Australia because of the following reasons:
1. Our kids would have COOL accents
2. Our kids could surf and play tennis and say "craiky" and totally fit in
3. It's just cool down under yo
4. They seem so much more laid back and I'm digging on that
5. Does it really matter? It's freakin' Australia so let's get on the plane and go NOW!
PS. I love Palin's kids' names though...Piper and Bristol...VERY COOL.
